Understanding Flikker Sizing: How to Choose the Best Fit
We know that finding the perfect size can sometimes be tricky, so here’s a simple guide to help you make the best choice.
1. Stretch Fabrics & Flexible Fit
Many of our garments, especially those made from stretch or knit fabrics, have a more flexible fit. This means that a Small (Size 8) can often accommodate a Size 10 as well, and a Medium (Size 12) can fit a Size 14, depending on the style. The natural stretch of the fabric allows it to mold to your shape, making it suitable for multiple sizes. Hence why we say a Size 10 in a stretch fabric can be both a Small and a Medium—it just depends on your personal preference and how you like your clothes to fit.
2. Structured & Woven Fabrics
Garments made from woven fabrics (with little to no stretch) have a more defined fit. These styles follow the exact measurements in our size guide and do not expand as much as stretch fabrics do. For these items, it’s important to choose your exact size for the best fit. This is why we use numerical sizes like 6, 8, 10, 12, etc, they are more defined for structured fabrics to ensure the right fit.
3. Choosing Between Sizes? Size Up!
If you find yourself between sizes, we always recommend sizing up for comfort and a more flattering fit. A slightly looser fit can always be adjusted, but a garment that’s too tight may feel restrictive.
